The Kemah Boardwalk is a great attraction with lots of amusement rides and restaurants. The ride tickets are really pricey though and the lines on the weekends are VERY LONG! If you have younger children, they will not do well waiting for such a long time to ride the 2 minute Carousel.

You also have the option of free parking at the Shuttle Boat parking lots, located on Texas Road.

The cost is $15/adult, $12/child, but it’s money well-spent. The music is a little loud, but once that boat gets up to it’s max speed you don’t care! The captain sways the boat from side-to-side in an exciting effort to get everyone on the boat wet, which was fine by us in the hot Houston heat.
