Dogs on leashes permitted.
Are dogs allowed in big trees?
Dogs are welcome in the park on leash in developed areas like picnic sites, campgrounds, paved roads and fire roads (dirt). Dogs are not allowed on the designated trails, nor in the woods in general.

Though they once thrived throughout much of the Northern Hemisphere, today redwoods are only found on the coast from central California through southern Oregon. They do not live more than 50 miles inland, and are usually found in long belts, rather than small groves.

The crown of Hyperion, a roughly 600-year-old coast redwood tree, rises more than 379 feet from its base on a steep slope in a remote part of Redwood National Park, just north of Eureka in Humboldt County. It’s the tallest tree on earth, and I was determined to go see it.
