Students may not take more than 6 units in a six-week session. For example: A student may take 6 units in the first six-week session and 6 units in the second six-week session. A student may take 6 units in the first or second six-week session and 6 units in the twelve-week session.

Is 10 units too much for summer?
2/3 x 16 = 10 1/3, so I’d recommend not attempting more than 10 credit hours during that 10-week summer session. If you were to attempt a full semester’s 16 credit hours during the summer per your plan, you would probably exhaust yourself, and not be able to earn good grades.
